China’s consumer market continues to recover its overall growth trend

In a regular conference held on the 27th, Shu Jueting, spokesman of the Ministry of Commerce, said that since this year, with the implementation of the policy of stabilizing the economy and promoting consumption, China’s consumer market has generally continued to recover its growth momentum.

From January to September, the total retail sales of consumer goods increased by 0.7% year-on-year, 0.2 percentage points faster than that from January to August. Quarterly, the total amount of social zero in the third quarter increased by 3.5% year on year, significantly faster than that in the second quarter; The final consumption expenditure contributed 52.4% to the economic growth, driving the GDP growth by 2.1 percentage points. In September, the total amount of social organizations increased by 2.5% on a year-on-year basis. Although the growth rate dropped slightly compared with that in August, it still continued the recovery momentum since June.

At the same time, we also see that under the influence of the epidemic situation and other unexpected factors, the market entities in the physical retail, catering, accommodation and other industries still face considerable pressure. In the next stage, with the coordinated epidemic prevention and control and the continuous promotion of economic and social development, the effect of policies and measures to stabilize the economy and promote consumption is further apparent, and consumption is expected to continue to recover steadily.
