Recently, a delegation led by the Australian Cotton Merchants Association visited the Indian textile cluster and stated that India has already used up its quota for duty-free imports of 51000 tons of Australian cotton. If India’s production continues to fail to recover, the space for importing Australian cotton may expand. In addition, some textile industry associations in India are calling on the government to increase the quota for duty-free imports of Australian cotton.
