United States Sharp Decrease In Textile And Clothing Imports From January To September, Leading To A Significant Increase In China’s Import Volume

The import volume of textiles and clothing in the United States in September this year was 8.4 billion square meters, a decrease of 4.5% from the 8.8 billion square meters in the same period last year. From January to September this year, the import volume of textiles and clothing in the United States was 71 billion square meters, a decrease of 16.5% from 85 billion square meters in the same period last year.

In September, the United States imported 3.3 billion square meters of textiles and clothing from China, up 9.5% from 3.1 billion square meters in the same period last year, 5.41 million square meters from Vietnam, down 12.4% from 6.2 million square meters in the same period last year, 4.8 million square meters from Türkiye, up 9.7% from 4.4 million square meters in the same period last year, and 49.5 billion square meters from Israel, up 914% from 500000 square meters in the same period last year.

In September, the import volume of textiles and clothing from the United States to Egypt was 1.1 million square meters, a decrease of 84% from 6.7 million square meters in the same period last year. The import volume to Malaysia was 6.1 million square meters, an increase of 76.3% from 3.5 million square meters in the same period last year. The import volume to Pakistan was 2.7 million square meters, an increase of 1.1% from the same period last year. The import volume to India was 7.1 million square meters, a decrease of 11% from 8 million square meters in the same period last year.
