The 2023 China International Cotton Conference was successfully held in Guilin, Guangxi from June 15 to 16. During the meeting, the China Cotton Association held talks with representatives of the International Cotton Association of America who came to the meeting.
The two sides exchanged the latest cotton situation between China and the United States, focusing on exploring cooperation and exchange between the Future China Cotton Sustainable Development Project (CCSD) and the US Cotton Trust Code (USCTP). In addition, they also discussed the current status of international renewable cotton development, the mechanization and large-scale development of Xinjiang’s cotton industry, and the aging of the US cotton industry.
Bruce Atherley, Executive Director of International Cotton Association, Liu Jiemin, Director of China, Gao Fang, President of China Cotton Association, Wang Jianhong, Executive Vice President and Secretary General, and Li Lin, Deputy Secretary General attended the meeting.
