Cotton Prices In Northern India Have Declined, And Polyester Cotton Yarn Has Also Declined

The trading price of cotton in northern India fell. The price of cotton in Haryana State has declined due to quality concerns. The prices in Punjab and Upper Rajasthan have remained stable. Traders have stated that due to sluggish demand in the textile industry, textile companies are cautious about new purchases, while cotton supply exceeds demand and textile companies are seeking to reduce production. 5500 bales (170 kilograms each) of cotton have arrived in northern India. The trading price of cotton in Punjab is 6030-6130 rupees per Moende (356kg), that in Haryana is 6075-6175 rupees per Moende, that in Upper Rajasthan is 6275-6375 rupees per Moende, and that in Lower Rajasthan is 58000-60000 rupees per Moende.

Due to weak demand, reduced export orders, and low raw material prices, prices of polyester staple fibers, polyester cotton, and viscose yarns in various parts of India have fallen, causing concerns about production cuts and inventory accumulation. Global brands are unwilling to place large orders for the winter season, exacerbating concerns in the entire textile industry.
