South Korea Launches Anti-dumping Investigation on Chinese Directional Polyester Yarn
The Korea Trade Commission issued Announcement No. 2023-3 to launch an anti-dumping investigation on oriented polyester yarn (POY, or pre-oriented yarn) originating in China and Malaysia in response to the application submitted by the Korea Chemical Fiber Association on December 27, 2022. The dumping investigation period of this case is from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022 (12 months), and the injury investigation period is from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2022 (5 years). The Korean tax number of the product involved is 5402.46.9000. Chinese enterprises involved in the case include Xinfengming Group Huzhou Zhongshi Technology Co., Ltd. and its affiliates, Zhejiang Hengyi Petrochemical Co., Ltd. and its affiliates, Tongkun Group Co., Ltd. and its affiliates. The preliminary determination of this case will be made within 3 months, unless it is postponed for another 2 months.
