According to the latest statistical data, Vietnam’s exports of textiles and clothing reached 2.916 billion US dollars in May 2023, an increase of 14.8% month on month and a decrease of 8.02% year on year; Export of 160300 tons of yarn, an increase of 11.2% month on month and 17.5% year-on-year; 89400 tons of imported yarn, an increase of 6% month on month and a decrease of 12.62% year-on-year; Imported fabrics amounted to 1.196 billion US dollars, an increase of 3.98% month on month and a year-on-year decrease of 24.99%.
From January to May 2023, Vietnam’s exports of textiles and clothing reached 12.628 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 15.84%; 652400 tons of exported yarn, a year-on-year decrease of 9.84%; 414500 tons of imported yarn, a year-on-year decrease of 10.01%; Imported fabrics amounted to 5.333 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 19.74%.
