In August 2023, Vietnam’s exports of textiles and clothing reached 3.449 billion US dollars, an increase of 5.53% month on month, marking the fourth consecutive month of growth, with a year-on-year decrease of 13.83%; Exporting 174200 tons of yarn, an increase of 12.13% month on month and 39.85% year-on-year; 84600 tons of imported yarn, an increase of 8.08% month on month and a decrease of 5.57% year-on-year; Imported fabrics amounted to 1.084 billion US dollars, an increase of 11.45% month on month and a decrease of 10% year-on-year.
From January to August 2023, Vietnam’s exports of textiles and clothing reached 22.513 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 14.4%; Exporting 1.1628 million tons of yarn, an increase of 6.8% year-on-year; 672700 tons of imported yarn, a year-on-year decrease of 8.1%; Imported fabrics amounted to 8.478 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 17.8%.
